On April 4, 2006, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, filed a federal indictment against Jose Manuel Ramirez, charging him with violent crimes.
A grand jury had previously indicted Ramirez for his alleged involvement in a string of violent robberies that took place in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas of Texas.
