Joseph Keller, Receipt and Distribution of Child Pornography, Pennsylvania 2011

WYOMING COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA – A Wyoming County man was sentenced to federal prison for Receipt and Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of a Destructive Device, according to a recent investigation by Grimy Times. Joseph Keller, age 28, formerly of Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, downloaded and distributed images of child pornography in 2011.

According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Keller admitted to using a computer to download and distribute images of child pornography. Additionally, he was found to possess an unregistered homemade destructive device.

The investigation, which was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office, and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, revealed Keller’s involvement in these serious crimes.

Senior United States District Judge Richard P. Conaboy sentenced Keller to serve 60 months in prison. In addition to the prison term, the judge ordered that Keller be supervised by a probation officer for twenty years following his prison sentence.

Keller’s case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert J. O’Hara. The charges against Keller include Receipt and Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of a Destructive Device.
