Staten Island Sex Trafficker Sentenced to 15 Years

Justin Dixon, a Staten Island sex trafficker, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for coercion and enticement of a minor and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Dixon, 35, operated as a 'pimp' using violence and threats of violence to compel the commission of commercial sex acts, including by minors as young as 14 years old. He pled guilty to the charges in November 2024.

The sentence was handed down by Judge William F. Kuntz, II, at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn. The case was announced by Joseph Nocella, Jr., United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York; Christopher G. Raia, Assistant Director in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office (FBI); and Jessica S. Tisch, Commissioner, New York City Police Department (NYPD).

Dixon's victims were forced to commit commercial sex acts and were subjected to violence and threats of violence to ensure compliance with his orders. He used social media and other internet applications to recruit victims and manipulate them into working for him as prostitutes. In January 2023, law enforcement officers rescued a 14-year-old minor from a house in Staten Island where she was being held against her will by Dixon.

As part of his sentence, Dixon will serve 15 years in prison for coercion and enticement of a minor and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentence is in addition to any time he may serve for other crimes. Dixon's extensive prison sentence brings some measure of comfort to his victims, according to United States Attorney Nocella.

Dixon's crimes were committed in January 2023, in Brooklyn, New York. He was previously convicted of a felony and possessed firearms, which he brandished in front of his victims. Dixon's abuse of his victims was egregious, with him forcing them to cook, clean, and bathe him, and physically punishing them if they disobeyed his rules.

The case against Dixon was brought as part of the FBI's ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and protect victims of sex trafficking. The NYPD and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York also played a crucial role in bringing Dixon to justice.
