Dubuque Man Found Guilty of Possessing Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute

The verdict was returned on April 23, 2026, following about four hours of jury deliberations. The evidence at trial showed that law enforcement officers stopped Allen on March 24, 2025, and during the stop, officers realized Allen had outstanding arrest warrants.
Officer's arrested Allen and located just over 15 grams of methamphetamine and one gram of fentanyl on his person. Allen was previously convicted of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine in 2017 in Illinois and a controlled substance violation in 2025 in Iowa.
