Kadonta Muldrew, Fentanyl and Firearm Crimes, Nebraska 2025

An Omaha man has been sentenced to 235 months in federal prison for his role in a fentanyl trafficking operation.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Kadonta Muldrew, 31, of Omaha, was sentenced on November 19, 2025, in federal court in Omaha for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The charges against Muldrew stem from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Omaha Police Department, which identified him as a dealer of fentanyl pills in Omaha in January 2024.

Between February and May of 2024, Muldrew sold pills to a confidential informant four times in quantities ranging from 50 to 200. Investigators also determined that Muldrew was supplying at least one other dealer.

On May 17, 2024, law enforcement arrested Muldrew and executed search warrants at three residences and a storage unit in Omaha. When he was arrested, Muldrew had approximately 234 fentanyl pills and $11,301 cash. The execution of the search warrants resulted in the seizure of almost 2,000 fentanyl pills, four handguns, and more than $124,000 cash.

The cash that was seized will be forfeited to the United States as proceeds of drug dealing.

Muldrew's co-defendant, Jeron Morris, 33, of Omaha, has been convicted after a jury trial of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Morris faces a mandatory minimum of 35 years in prison and a maximum of life. Morris' sentencing is scheduled for December 3, 2025.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Omaha Police Department with assistance from the Council Bluffs Police Department (Iowa), Bellevue Police Department, Papillion Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, and the Iowa State Patrol.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States.
