La Vista, Nebraska - In a disturbing case of child exploitation, Keith B. Noden, 45, of La Vista, Nebraska, was sentenced to four years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

The crime was uncovered on July 27, 2016, when officers of the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and the FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force served a search warrant on Noden's residence. The IP address assigned to Noden had been observed on numerous occasions with images of child pornography available for sharing.

The videos, which included prepubescent children, including a 6-year-old child, engaged in sexual acts with adults, were recovered during the investigation. Noden admitted to downloading child pornography, but no videos were found on his computer. Various search terms indicative of searching for and downloading child pornography were recovered.

Noden must register as a sex offender after his release from prison. He will begin a five-year term of supervised release upon his release from prison.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the federal government.

The case was investigated by the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and the Omaha FBI's Cyber Crime Task Force (CCTF).
