Keith Joseph, 37, of Miami, Florida, pleaded guilty in January 2022 to one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft. He admitted to accessing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) eAuthentication online taxpayer system from March 2015 to March 2017.

The case was presided over by U.S. District Judge Gina M. Groh. The sentence of 60 months in prison reflects the severity of Joseph's crimes and the significant harm caused to the victims.
Joseph's case serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting taxpayer information and the serious consequences of those who attempt to exploit the system for their own gain.
