Kendric Centrall Childs, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Iowa 2021
A massive methamphetamine trafficking ring in Burlington, Iowa, has been dismantled, with eight individuals facing federal prison time for their roles in the conspiracy.
Kendric Centrall Childs, 35, was sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment and 10 years of supervised release for his role as the main drug source in the conspiracy. Childs' supply chain was allegedly fueled by another individual who has not yet been apprehended.
According to court documents, Gregory Jermain Johnson, 36, Gregory Johnson, Marcus Allen Johnson, 46, and Rudolph Sinclair Allen were the 'middlemen' for the group, receiving large quantities of ice methamphetamine from Kendric Childs. Johnson and Allen allegedly sold quantities of ice methamphetamine themselves or provided it to lower-level dealers for distribution.
The conspiracy began on December 1, 2019 and continued until November 2, 2021. Those sentenced as part of this drug conspiracy include:
- Kendric Centrall Childs, 35, 25 years of imprisonment and 10 years of supervised release
- Rudolph Sinclair Allen, 37, 20 years of imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release
- Clyde Macks Stewart, Jr., 51, 17 years of imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release

The case was investigated by the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Taskforce, Burlington Police Department, West Burlington Police Department, and several other law enforcement agencies. U.S. Attorney Richard D. Westphal announced the sentencing.
In a significant discovery, on January 24, 2020, Julie Jeanne Mason was stopped in Arizona while transporting approximately 362 pounds of ice methamphetamine.
