Hattiesburg Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Federal Drug Charges

Kentorre D. Hall, also known as Toto, a 31-year-old quadriplegic from Prentiss, Mississippi, was sentenced to life in prison plus five years by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett in Hattiesburg today, June 6, 2024. Hall was also ordered to pay a fine of $75,000.

Hall was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana, and cocaine, as well as maintaining a residence to manufacture, store, or distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to possess and use firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.

The case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the District Attorney’s Office of the 15th Circuit Court District, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Annette Williams.

Hall, along with co-defendants Roger Randale Jones, also known as Hitman, and Martel Torres Barnes, also known as Marty Mar, were each sentenced to life in prison plus five years. Jones and Barnes were also ordered to pay a fine of $75,000.

The men were convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, marijuana, and cocaine, as well as maintaining a residence to manufacture, store, or distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to possess and use firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Hall, Jones, and Barnes were each sentenced on June 6, 2024 by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett in Hattiesburg. The case was the result of a joint investigation by law enforcement agencies in the state of Mississippi. This is a significant blow to the organized crime network in the region.
