Assault Charges Laid in White Earth Reservation Incident
An Itasca County man has been charged with assault after allegedly using a vehicle to attack two individuals on the White Earth Indian Reservation in April 2020.
According to the indictment, Kevin Roger Doerr, 34, assaulted two people with a vehicle, resulting in serious bodily injuries, on April 7, 2020.
Doerr was arrested and arraigned before Magistrate Judge Jon T. Huseby in U.S. District Court in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was ordered to remain in detention pending further proceedings.
The case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Gina L. Allery.
This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, and the White Earth Police Department.
The charges against Doerr include two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
