Latwon Ford, Robbery, Indiana 2016
A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a string of robberies in Indiana.
Latwon Ford, 25, was sentenced to 135 months of imprisonment, followed by 2 years of supervised release, for two counts of obstructing and interfering with interstate commerce by robbery and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
The crimes took place in June 2015 and January 2016 at a Dollar General store in Leo, Indiana.
According to court documents, Ford was armed with a loaded handgun when he was caught exiting the store in January 2016.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Allen County Police Department; the Indiana State Police; and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony W. Geller handled the case.
The sentencing comes after a lengthy investigation into Ford's crimes.
