Loren Lee Goodlow, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, South Dakota 2014
Loren Lee Goodlow, a 25-year-old man from Lower Brule, South Dakota, has been charged with serious crimes.
According to the U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson, Goodlow was indicted by a federal grand jury for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
The alleged incident occurred on June 11, 2014, when Goodlow allegedly assaulted an adult male victim with a dangerous weapon, resulting in serious bodily injury.
Goodlow, also known as Loren Goodlow, Jr., appeared before U.S. Magistrate John E. Simko on July 25, 2014, and pled not guilty to the Indictment.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to 10 years in custody and/or a $250,000 fine, 3 years of supervised release, and up to $200 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Lower Brule Agency. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan N. Dilges is prosecuting the case.
Goodlow was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
