Lucas Lucas, Violent Crime, Maryland 2007

In a shocking turn of events, Lucas Lucas, a 32-year-old Maryland native, stood trial in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in 2007 for a string of violent crimes. The case, captioned as United States vs. Lucas, was filed on April 20, 2007, and drew widespread attention due to the severity of the charges.

The defendant, Lucas, was accused of robbing multiple convenience stores in the Baltimore metropolitan area, leaving a trail of victims traumatized and in fear. Authorities alleged that Lucas, armed with a handgun, entered the stores and demanded cash from the clerks, in some instances resorting to physical violence when his demands were not met.
