Lucia C. Jenkins, Child Porn Distribution, Kentucky 2017

Published May 22, 2019

A Providence, Kentucky woman has pleaded guilty to distributing and receiving child pornography, announced United States Attorney Russell M. Coleman.

Lucia C. Jenkins, age 50, knowingly distributed and received child pornography on September 25, 2017, in Webster County, Kentucky, and elsewhere.

A federal Grand Jury sitting in Owensboro indicted Jenkins on three charges on July 11, 2018.

Jenkins faces a statutory mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of 5 years and supervised release of at least 5 years and up to any number of years, including life. There is no parole in the federal system.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Seth Hancock, the chief of the Paducah, Kentucky branch office, and was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Kentucky State Police.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the federal government to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Jenkins' guilty plea marks another success in our efforts to protect children from predators and bring justice to victims of child exploitation.
