Manuel Salinas-Hernandez, Illegal Re-Entry, Pennsylvania 2019

A 47-year-old Mexican man has been charged with illegal re-entry into the United States.

Manuel Salinas-Hernandez, of Mexico, was indicted on July 17, 2019, by a federal grand jury with illegal re-entry into the United States by a previously deported alien.

According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Salinas-Hernandez was previously deported from the United States to Mexico in March 2010.

He is alleged to have illegally reentered the United States sometime after March 2010, and was found in the United States in Adams County, Pennsylvania after eluding examination or inspection by immigration officers.

This matter was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

Assistant United States Attorney Joanne M. Sanderson is prosecuting the case.

Indictments are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.

Salinas-Hernandez faces a maximum penalty of two years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.

A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Salinas-Hernandez, Manuel, was previously deported from the United States to Mexico in March 2010.

The indictment alleges that Salinas-Hernandez reentered the United States after March 2010 and was found in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
