Mark Alan Love, Child Pornography Charges, Alabama 2023

A federal jury has convicted Mark Alan Love, 50, of Jefferson County, Alabama, of receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography between 2010 and 2014.

The jury deliberated less than an hour before convicting Love, according to U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Secretary Spencer Collier.

Love used his home computer and a peer-to-peer file sharing program to download and share thousands of images of child pornography, including images of prepubescent children under 12 years old, according to evidence at trial.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jacquelyn M. Hutzell and Daniel J. Fortune prosecuted the case.

Love remains in federal custody and is scheduled for sentencing on April 19.

The prosecution alleges that Love received, distributed and possessed child pornography between 2010 and 2014.
