Martin M. Muniz-Lara, Armed Bank Robbery, Wisconsin 2025

GREENVILLE, WI - In a brazen daylight robbery, Martin M. Muniz-Lara, 43, allegedly stormed into a Bear Creek bank in northwestern Outagamie County on October 17, 2025, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash while brandishing a firearm.

According to the indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury on December 9, 2025, Muniz-Lara faces two serious charges: Armed Bank Robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a) and 2113(d), and Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c). If convicted, Muniz-Lara could be looking at a maximum of 25 years in prison for the armed bank robbery charge, and up to life in prison, with a 7-year mandatory minimum sentence, for the firearms offense.

The investigation into the robbery was a collaborative effort between the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office, the FBI, the Oshkosh Police Department, and the Outagamie County District Attorney's Office. Assistant United States Attorney Andrew J. Maier will be handling the prosecution of the case in United States District Court in Green Bay.

An indictment is merely an accusation, and Muniz-Lara is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He is entitled to a fair trial, at which the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
