New Orleans, Louisiana - In a shocking turn of events, a Honduran national has been found guilty of illegal reentry, a serious crime that carries severe penalties.
MAURICIO SANTOS-RIVERA, a 34-year-old citizen of Honduras, was sentenced to time served and one year of supervised release after imprisonment, according to a recent announcement by U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.
According to the bill of information, MAURICIO SANTOS-RIVERA was encountered in the United States on or about January 5, 2021, after having been previously removed therefrom on or about November 21, 2005.
