Michael English, Violent Crime, Pennsylvania 2021

Michael English, a 32-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was brought to justice in March 2021, after a federal grand jury indicted him for his alleged involvement in a violent crime spree. The case, known as United States v. Michael English, was filed in the PAED Federal District Court in Pennsylvania. English was accused of committing multiple robberies, shootings, and kidnapping offenses between January and February 2021. The charges against him included robbery, use of a firearm during a crime of violence, and kidnapping resulting in death. The latter charge carried a possible death penalty, but prosecutors elected not to pursue it due to English's young age and lack of prior convictions. The motive behind these crimes was reportedly a dispute over a romantic partner.
