A Reserve man has been sentenced to 83 months in prison for his role in a crack conspiracy.

MICHAEL SANDERS, 37, pleaded guilty on February 1, 2018, to conspiring with others to distribute cocaine base, also known as crack.

SANDERS was sentenced by Judge Jane Triche Milazzo to 83 months in the Bureau of Prisons, followed by 3 years of supervised release.

The U.S. Attorney's Office praised the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office in bringing the case to justice.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Nicholas D. Moses and Edward Rivera handled the prosecution of SANDERS.

According to court records, SANDERS's guilty plea was entered on February 1, 2018, and he was sentenced on November 14, 2018.
