In a shocking turn of events, Miguel Hernandez, a 32-year-old resident of Chicago, was found guilty of multiple violent crimes in the Illinois Northern District Federal Court on February 10, 2018.

According to court documents, Hernandez was charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of brandishing a firearm, and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, all of which took place between January 1 and December 31, 2016.

The charges alleged that Hernandez used a firearm to rob multiple convenience stores in the Chicago area, causing significant fear and harm to the victims.

During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence, including eyewitness testimony and video footage, which linked Hernandez to the crimes. Defense attorneys argued that the evidence was circumstantial and that Hernandez was not the perpetrator.

After deliberating for several hours, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on all counts, finding Hernandez responsible for the violent crimes.

Hernandez faced a maximum sentence of life in prison for the armed robbery and firearm charges. His sentencing hearing was scheduled for March 2018.

The verdict was met with relief from the victims and their families, who had been waiting for justice for over a year.
