Cocaine Trafficking Rocks Upstate New York: Milton Williams, Jr. Pleads Guilty

In a shocking turn of events, Milton Williams, Jr., a 35-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, New York, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking activity. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $1,000,000 fine.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura A. Higgins, the investigation into Williams' activities began in December 2017, when law enforcement officers executed a New York State search warrant at his residence at 1364 Pierce Avenue in Niagara Falls. Officers recovered three loaded firearms and additional assorted rounds of ammunition, as well as marijuana and a large quantity of cocaine.

The operation was a joint effort between the Niagara Falls Police Department, under the direction of Superintendent Thomas Licata, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Ray Donovan, New York Field Division.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 24, 2019, before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford. Williams' future hangs in the balance as he faces the possibility of serving a significant prison sentence.
