Elkins Man Admits to Meth Charge

Nicholas Adam Owens, a 25-year-old resident of Elkins, West Virginia, has admitted to a serious drug charge, according to U.S. Attorney Bill Powell.

Owens pled guilty to one count of 'Possession with Intent to Distribute More Than Five Grams of Methamphetamine,' a federal offense that carries severe penalties. The crime occurred in August 2019 in Randolph County.

According to the indictment, Owens possessed more than five grams of methamphetamine, also known as 'crystal meth' or 'ice.' This highly addictive and destructive substance has devastated communities across the country.
