Child Pornography Charges Filed Against Norfolk Man

A Grand Jury in the District of Nebraska has returned an eight-count Indictment against Noah Hale, a 20-year-old man from Norfolk, Nebraska. The charges stem from allegations that Hale produced, attempted to produce, received, and possessed child pornography between September 2022 and February 2024.

The Indictment charges Hale with eight counts of child pornography-related offenses. Counts 1 through 4 charge Hale with production of child pornography, each involving a separate minor victim. Counts 5 and 6 charge Hale with attempted production of child pornography, also involving separate minor victims. Count 7 charges Hale with receipt of child pornography, while Count 8 charges Hale with possession of child pornography.

According to the Indictment, each of the production charges (Counts 1-4) is punishable by a mandatory minimum term of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, a term of supervised release to follow his term of imprisonment of not less than 5 years and up to a lifetime of supervision, and several possible special assessments payable to the court and to special victim funds.

Count 7, the receipt of child pornography charge, carries a mandatory minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, a term of supervised release to follow his term of imprisonment of not less than 5 years and up to a lifetime of supervision, and several possible special assessments payable to the court and to special victim funds.

Hale appeared for his arraignment and detention hearing on November 1, 2024, before the Honorable Magistrate Judge Jacqueline M. DeLuca. He was ordered detained pending trial at the conclusion of the hearing.

Hale is presumed innocent of these charges until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. The investigation into this case was led by the FBI, and U.S. Attorney Susan Lehr commended the agency for their efforts in identifying victims and bringing charges against Hale.
