Nong Chatchanok Press, Receipt of Child Pornography, Iowa 2026

A disturbing case of child exploitation has come to light in Iowa City, Iowa. 23-year-old Nong Chatchanok Press was sentenced to 110 months in federal prison for receiving child pornography.

According to public court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTip in December 2023 that led to the discovery of Press's involvement in receiving and uploading files containing child sexual abuse material.

Law enforcement conducted a search of Press's Iowa City residence in December 2023 and seized electronic devices. A forensic examination of these devices revealed that Press used them to receive, view, and possess over 117,000 images and 300 videos containing child sexual abuse material.

Press was arrested in February 2025, and a phone was seized from him at that time.

After completing his prison term, Press will be required to serve a 15-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

Press was also ordered to pay $123,000 in restitution.

The case was investigated by the University of Iowa Police Department.

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney David C. Waterman of the Southern District of Iowa.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
