Grimy Times has learned that Oscar Cruz-Baldo, a 40-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for possession of a firearm by an illegal alien. The sentence was handed down in Gainesville, Florida, and marks a significant victory for law enforcement in the region.

According to court documents, Cruz-Baldo was involved in a physical and verbal altercation incident on February 12, 2025, in Williston, Florida. During the incident, he threatened to shoot the victim and her dog with a loaded shotgun. Levy County deputies responded to the scene and located the loaded shotgun on the property.

Cruz-Baldo, who unlawfully entered the United States without inspection or authorization by an immigration officer, was investigated jointly by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Levy County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Adam Hapner prosecuted the case.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at repelling the invasion of illegal immigration, achieving the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
