Patrick George Jackson, Child Pornography, Utah 2023
Patrick George Jackson, a 60-year-old North Salt Lake, Utah, resident, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his conviction of possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, Jackson pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in federal court. He admitted to possessing over 600 images of child pornography on his electronic devices in May 2019.
Jackson's guilty plea also revealed that he had been previously convicted twice of sexual offenses in Utah, including a 1990 conviction for Sexual Abuse of a Child and a 2002 conviction for Attempted Forcible Sexual Abuse.
The investigation into Jackson's activities was conducted by Special Agents of the FBI, with assistance from Assistant U.S. Attorneys in the Utah U.S. Attorney’s Office.
After his release from federal prison, Jackson will be required to register as a sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
