West Mifflin Man Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison for Distributing Child Pornography
A resident of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 72 months imprisonment, followed by 15 years supervised release, on a charge of distribution of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the court, on or about June 11, 2014, Paul Robert Fike, age 37, distributed images containing material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
United States District Judge Mark R. Hornak imposed the sentence on Fike.
Assistant United States Attorney Jessica Lieber Smolar prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Indiana County District Attorney's Office, the Allegheny County Police Department, and the West Mifflin Police Department conducted the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Fike.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
