Paul Thomasson, Methamphetamine Distribution, West Virginia 2021

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A Mingo County man pleaded guilty to federal drug charges in a U.S. District Court hearing. Paul Thomasson, 57, of Delbarton, admitted to selling quantities of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Delbarton on October 4, 2021, and October 12, 2021.

The defendant responded to the charges of distribution of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison. United States Attorney Will Thompson announced the guilty plea and commended the investigative work of the U.S. Route 119 Drug Task Force.

Paul Thomasson is scheduled to be sentenced on April 26, 2023, and may face up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. The defendant will be held accountable for his actions and face the consequences of his crime.
