Rachelette McKissack, Robbery, Ohio 2018
In a brazen display of audacity, Rachelette McKissack, 26, has been indicted for robbing the same store on Chagrin Boulevard in Woodmere, Ohio, on consecutive days.
The Cleveland Consignment Shoppe at 28790 Chagrin Blvd. was targeted by McKissack on November 15, 2018, according to the indictment. The next day, McKissack brandished a firearm to again rob the store, also in accordance with the indictment.
McKissack faces one count of brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence and two counts of interference with commerce through robbery. If convicted, the defendant's sentence will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including the defendant's prior criminal record, if any, the defendant's role in the offense and the characteristics of the violations.
The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Woodmere Police Department are investigating the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Margaret A. Kane leading the prosecution.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government's burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Rachelette McKissack's real full name, exact criminal charges, city, and state were all documented in the source. However, the exact date of the sentencing or outcome was not available.
