Raheem Cuffee, Heroin Distribution, West Virginia 2014

A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a heroin distribution ring in West Virginia.

Raheem Cuffee, 32, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 110 months in prison for heroin distribution, announced United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, on February 24, 2014.

Cuffee previously pled guilty to "Distribution of Heroin within 1,000 feet of a Protected Location," admitting to selling heroin in Morgantown, West Virginia during 2014.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The West Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations investigated.

U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.

Cuffee was sentenced to 110 months in prison for his crimes, a significant blow to the heroin distribution ring he was a part of.

The sentencing marks a major victory in the fight against heroin distribution in West Virginia.
