Ramon Ramirez-Frias, Illegally Reentering US, Pennsylvania 2024

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia man, Ramon Ramirez-Frias, aka “Willy Ramirez-Frias” and “Mollo,” 40, has been sentenced to nine months in prison for illegally reentering the United States after prior deportation.

Ramirez-Frias was arrested by FBI Philadelphia in April 2022 on federal drug charges, including conspiracy to distribute heroin and possession with intent to distribute heroin.

He pleaded guilty in February 2023 to one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin and two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin and was removed from the U.S. in November 2023, pursuant to an immigration judge’s order.

Earlier this year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the FBI received information that Ramirez-Frias had returned to the U.S. illegally and was living in Philadelphia. He was located and arrested in February, indicted in March, and pleaded guilty to illegal reentry in April.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

The case was investigated by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations and the FBI and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney S. Chandler Harris.

Ramirez-Frias' sentence of nine months in prison is a result of his illegal reentry into the country. Upon completion of his sentence, he will again be removed from the United States.

The defendant’s full name is Ramon Ramirez-Frias. He was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin and two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin. The crime occurred in April 2022. His sentence was announced in April 2024.
