In a case that shocked the nation, Raymond Dupree, a 35-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was brought to justice for his role in a violent crime spree that spanned several months in 2007 and 2008. The case, DUPREE, was filed in the PAED Federal District Court in Pennsylvania on April 15, 2008.
Dupree was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit a federal crime of violence. The charges were brought after a lengthy investigation by the FBI, which revealed that Dupree was the mastermind behind a string of violent robberies that left several people injured.
The investigation, which was led by the Philadelphia FBI office, revealed that Dupree had assembled a crew of accomplices who helped him carry out the robberies. The crew used a combination of firearms and intimidation to carry out their crimes, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
