Raymond Mykale Goodridge, Child Pornography, Maryland 2016

Published April 15, 2016

A Baltimore man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography, creating explicit images and videos of two young boys, ages 4 and 13.

Raymond Mykale Goodridge, 21, of Baldwin, Maryland, made the admissions in federal court, according to a plea agreement.

Between May 2014 and the time of his arrest, Goodridge, who was friends with the mothers of the boys, created explicit images and videos of the minors.

The images and videos captured the boys in various states of undress, including fully naked, and focused on their genitals. Goodridge intended to capture images of the 13-year-old boy engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Law enforcement seized digital devices belonging to Goodridge in February 2015, which contained more than 600 images and videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including the explicit images and videos of the two boys.

As part of his plea agreement, Goodridge must register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis has scheduled sentencing for June 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Goodridge is in federal custody.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Goodridge faces a sentence of 210 months in prison followed by 25 years of supervised release, as agreed upon in the plea agreement.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the FBI, Harford County Sheriff's Office, Baltimore County Police Department, and the Harford County and Baltimore County State's Attorney's Offices for their work in the investigation.
