Raymont Harris, Fentanyl and Heroin Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2018

A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to 68 months in prison for committing fentanyl and heroin trafficking and gun crimes, according to the United States Attorney's office.

Raymont Harris, 25, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced by United States District Judge William S. Stickman IV. Judge Stickman also sentenced Harris to serve three years of supervised release at the conclusion of his prison sentence.

Harris was indicted and convicted in federal court via guilty pleas in September 2018, while on bond in a state heroin-trafficking case.

During this time, Harris distributed fentanyl and heroin and possessed a 9mm Ruger pistol in furtherance of his drug trafficking crimes.

The investigation leading to the convictions and sentence in this case was conducted by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the North Fayette Police Department, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

This case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which is part of the government's violent crime reduction efforts. Through PSN, a broad spectrum of stakeholders work together to identify and develop solutions to reduce violent crime.
