Rayshon Frazier, Crack Distribution, Connecticut 2021
A former Waterbury resident has been sentenced to prison for his role in distributing crack cocaine in Connecticut.
According to court documents, 30-year-old Rayshon Frazier, of Meriden, was sentenced to 27 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing crack cocaine.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration New Haven Task Force and the Middletown Police Department.
Frazier took over the distribution activity after his associate was incarcerated in early September 2019. Between September and November 2019, investigators made three controlled purchases of crack, totaling approximately 40 grams, from Frazier in Waterbury.
Frazier was arrested on a federal criminal complaint on November 27, 2019. On December 22, 2020, he pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, cocaine base ('crack')
Frazier is required to report to prison on May 19, 2021, after being released on a $100,000 bond.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Amanda S. Oakes and Sarala V. Nagala.
Frazier's association with the distribution activity was discovered after his associate was arrested on a state probation violation in early September 2019.
