Rino Diamante, 25, of Bergenfield, New Jersey, pleaded guilty by videoconference before U.S. District Judge William J. Martini to an information charging him with one count of cyberstalking.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court, Diamante admitted to engaging in continued online harassment of 23 known and unknown adult victims from January 2016 through August 2019.

Diamante used online web forums such as 4Chan and Volafile to post semi-nude or nude pictures purporting to be the victims. He also contacted the victims, their friends and family members to direct them to the online web forums containing the alleged nude or semi-nude photographs of the victims.

U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito credited special agents of the FBI, under the direction of Acting Special Agent in Charge Joe Denahan in Newark, with the investigation leading to today’s guilty plea.

The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Cassye Cole of the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Criminal Division in Newark.
