Billings, Montana - In a major blow to the city's narcotics trade, Robert Allen Clark, a 44-year-old Billings man, was sentenced to 7 years in prison for his role in a multi-state methamphetamine trafficking organization.

According to court documents, Clark pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in July of this year. He was one of seven defendants involved in the operation, which brought pounds of methamphetamine into Montana from Washington sources.

The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, revealed that Clark sold multi-ounce quantities of methamphetamine to other dealers, earning him a spot as a mid-level dealer in the organization.
