Robert Arthur Ginder, Child Exploitation, Florida 2020

Nassau County Fire And Rescue employee Robert Arthur Ginder has been accused of receiving child exploitation material, according to a recent indictment in federal court.

Ginder, 34, of Callahan, faces three counts of receiving child exploitation material and one count of accessing with the intent to view child exploitation material. If convicted on all counts, Ginder faces a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 15 years, and up to 80 years, in federal prison.

The indictment alleges that Ginder knowingly received child exploitation materials on February 6, 2020, December 4, 2019, and September 11, 2019. He also accessed with the intent to view child exploitation materials in June 2020.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ashley Washington.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Nassau County Fire And Rescue did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding Ginder's status with the department.
