A 71-year-old Robert Durst is facing serious charges after being indicted in Louisiana for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The indictment, announced by U.S. Attorney Kenneth Allen Polite, Jr., charges Durst with the crime of being a felon in possession of a firearm, specifically a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver.
According to the indictment, Durst had previously been convicted of crimes punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year in 2004 in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
