Defendant Sentenced for Methamphetamine Conspiracy in North Carolina

NEW BERN, North Carolina – Robert Manley Narron, 30, of Kenly, North Carolina, was sentenced to 91 months imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release for his role in a methamphetamine conspiracy in Johnston County.

The sentencing was announced by United States Attorney Robert J. Higdon, Jr.

Narron was convicted of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine from February 7, 2017, until September 9, 2017.

Narron was also charged with distribution of 50 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, aiding and abetting, and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Narron pled guilty to the conspiracy charge on April 12, 2018.

The investigation revealed that Narron received crystal methamphetamine from Reyes Juarez Perez, who served as a supplier of the substance.

Narron and Perez sold over 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine to a confidential source working with law enforcement.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Narron’s sentencing is the result of an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force Operation (OCDETF) that focused on methamphetamine manufacturers and distributors in Johnston County.

This case is part of the United States Attorney’s Office’s Take Back North Carolina Initiative, which aims to reduce the violent crime rate, drug trafficking, and crimes against law enforcement in the region.
