Robert Moore, Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Pennsylvania 2018

Published February 27, 2020

A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced for his role in a 2017-2018 crack cocaine conspiracy in the West End of Pittsburgh.

Robert Moore, a 36-year-old man from Oakhurst Street in Pittsburgh, was sentenced to three years of probation with 90 days of home detention on his conviction of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence on Moore, who conspired to distribute quantities of crack cocaine from November 2017 through June 2018.

The investigation, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration, revealed the GBK street gang and drug trafficking in and around the Greenway Projects in the West End of Pittsburgh.

Assistant United States Attorneys Tonya Sulia Goodman and Yvonne M. Saadi prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Scott W. Brady commended the agencies involved in the investigation, including the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and others, for their work in bringing the case to a successful conclusion.

The investigation was funded by the federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program (OCDETF), which provides critical federal funding and coordination to help federal and state agencies work together to identify, investigate, and prosecute major drug trafficking organizations.
