Federal Indictment Filed Against Local Man for Methamphetamine Trafficking
A federal grand jury in Paducah, Kentucky, has returned an indictment charging Robert William Grundy, 52, with possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
According to the indictment, the alleged crime occurred on June 14, 2023. If convicted, Grundy faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Grundy made an initial court appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky on February 5, 2024. The defendant remains in federal custody pending trial.
A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.
This case is being investigated by the DEA Paducah Post of Duty Office and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth Hancock is prosecuting this case.
