A former University professor has been sentenced to 18 years and six months in prison for child sexual exploitation offenses. Rodger Githens, 48, of West Sacramento, was sentenced on September 2023 by U.S. District Judge Jill A. Otake.
Githens was found guilty of attempted enticement of a minor and receipt and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The charges were brought against him by the U.S. Department of Justice's Middle District of Alabama.
