Grimy Times has learned that Rodney Ruggles, a 45-year-old resident of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for his role in an armed methamphetamine trafficking operation.

Ruggles was stopped by law enforcement on December 13, 2023, for several driving violations. After consenting to a search of his vehicle, authorities discovered a firearm safe containing 5 grams of methamphetamine, a small bag of marijuana, 3.5 oxycodone pills, 50 to 100 baggies, and a pistol.

Under federal law, Ruggles must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence, which translates to 102 months. Following his release from prison, he will be under the supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for five years.
