Ryan James Nelson, Violent Crime, Maryland 2007
On November 5, 2007, Ryan James Nelson, a 32-year-old resident of Maryland, was taken into custody by the FBI and charged with a series of violent crimes. The case, filed in the Maryland District Federal Court, alleged that Nelson was involved in a string of armed robberies that occurred throughout the state between 2005 and 2006.
The charges against Nelson included conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and interstate transportation of stolen goods. According to the FBI, Nelson was a key player in a group of individuals who committed multiple armed robberies at convenience stores, gas stations, and other retail establishments.
Investigations revealed that Nelson and his co-conspirators used stolen vehicles and wore masks to conceal their identities during the robberies. The group allegedly stole over $100,000 in cash and goods during their crime spree.

On February 10, 2009, Ryan James Nelson pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison. The sentence was the result of a plea agreement between Nelson's defense team and the prosecution.
