Samuel L. Whiteside, Murder for Prostitution Business, New York 2012
In a shocking case of violence linked to the prostitution business, Samuel L. Whiteside, a 31-year-old man from Dorchester, Massachusetts, has pleaded guilty to traveling interstate to commit murder to further his prostitution business, and to persuading, inducing, enticing, and coercing women to travel interstate to engage in prostitution, in the Southern District of New York.
According to the Superseding Indictment, other documents filed in Manhattan federal court, and statements made at various proceedings in this case, including yesterday’s guilty plea, Whiteside murdered Anthony Martino by stabbing him to death in a motel room at the Metro Motel, in the Bronx, New York, on June 5, 2012.
The motive behind the murder was a dispute between Whiteside and Martino relating to their respective prostitution businesses.
