Santo Beato Aybar-Aybar, Unlawful Reentry, Massachusetts 2025

BOSTON, MA - A Dominican national residing in Lawrence, Massachusetts has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation.

Santo Beato Aybar-Aybar, a resident of Lawrence, was charged with one count of unlawful reentry of a deported alien. Aybar-Aybar was arrested on March 23, 2025 and is currently in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.

According to the charging documents, Aybar-Aybar was previously deported from the United States on or about September 21, 2021. It is alleged that sometime after his September 2021 removal, Aybar-Aybar illegally reentered the United States without permission.

The charge of unlawful reentry of a deported alien provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. The defendant is subject to deportation upon completion of any sentence imposed.

Santo Beato Aybar-Aybar will appear in federal court in Boston at a later date. United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Patricia H. Hyde, Field Office Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations in Boston made the announcement.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric L. Hawkins of the Major Crime Unit is prosecuting the case.

The details contained in the charging documents are allegations. Aybar-Aybar is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
