Scott Rocky, Distribution of Child Pornography, Michigan 2025

DETROIT - In a shocking case of child exploitation, a former U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer was sentenced to 72 months in prison for distributing child pornography.

According to court records, Scott Rocky, 58, of Center Line, Michigan, shared and downloaded hundreds of files of child sexual abusive material (CSAM) online via peer-to-peer applications in April 2025. Following the execution of a search warrant at Rocky’s residence, agents located on his computer over five hundred accessed images of CSAM, including those depicting the sexual abuse of toddlers, infants, and prepubescent children.

Scott Rocky, who worked as a Customs and Border Protection Officer, was convicted of distribution of child pornography. United States District Judge Terrence G. Berg handed down the sentence.

“We trust law enforcement to uphold the law and protect Americans. This pervert violated our trust and broke the law so that he could hurt children. He deserves every day of his sentence,” said U.S. Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr.

This case highlights the gravity of child exploitation and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable. The FBI investigated this case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Nhan Ho prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.

Scott Rocky’s sentence should serve as a warning to others who exploit and abuse children. The sentence will keep Rocky locked away from society for 6 years, protecting our community from further harm.
