Sean Dunham, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Indiana 2019

A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 72 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

FORT WAYNE—Sean Dunham, age 25, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by United States District Judge Holly A. Brady after his plea of guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Kirsch.

Dunham was sentenced to 72 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.

According to documents in this case, in or about June 2019, Dunham possessed a firearm after being previously convicted in 2018 of Possession of a Syringe, a felony, in Allen County Indiana.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with the assistance of Indiana State Police and the Fort Wayne Police Department.

This case was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley J. Miller Lowery.

The sentencing in this case serves as a reminder of the consequences of breaking the law, especially for those who have previously been convicted of felonies.
